Happy New Year!  Let's start the new  year off right by learning to DIVE. This is a great sport for all interests, and all ages 10 years and up.  The Gulf of Mexico is very close with some spectacular dive sites.  There are Springs throughout Florida, East Coast drift diving the beautiful coral reefs, and of course the Keys. 

THIS CLASS WILL MEET Tuesdays and Thursdays from February 14th to February 26th.  Open Water Dives will be on February 25th and 26th. 

Dive interests and specialties we have include:  Underwater photography, Fossil Diving, Wreck Diving, Beach diving, Underwater Archaeology (historical shipwrecks), Spearfishing, Lobster hunting (starts Aug) Deep diving and more. Something for everyone.

Go online to www.divessi.com and log in to take your class using the online training.  This is a great interactive training course that can be done from home on your time.  With the rise in fuel costs, it saves multiple trips to the dive shop for class lectures. Your on-line academic training needs to be completed by February 14, 2012.  Classroom Training Course Price:  $250.00  Includes SSI Open Water Manual, SSI training DVD, SSI Navy Dive Tables, SSI Deluxe Log book, 4 Classroom lectures reviewing the Chapter Quizzes, Pool Sessions, use of Scuba equipment for all training dives, and your SSI Certification Card.

February 14th:  Orientation and Risk Awareness.  Snorkeling system may be purchased during this class, if you do not already own your system.  Ocean Sports has the best equipment for the best price, so please give us a chance to help you get what you need for class.

February 16th:  Academic Review and Final Exam

February 21st:  Pool Skills

February 23rd:  Pool Skills

February 25th and 26th:  Open Water Dives (Open Water Dive Sites can be decided during class.)

Required equipment will be discussed during your Orientation.  All Ocean Sports students will receive a voucher for great discounts if you chose to purchase your Total Diving System during your training.
